This camshaft is deigned for stroker motors with valve reliefs in the top of the pistons. 383, 402, 416, 427, 440 ect. This has been run on a stock ls6 motor with no problems but the piston to valve clearance is not recommended for everyone. In a 383, 402 or 416 this is a mid sized camshaft that will provide great power, torque and drivability.
